The Hardscape Construction Crew Leader will lead crews of 2-4 team members and oversee assigned installation and construction jobs ensuring that all work performed is done to the highest standard, on time, and to budget.
Qualified applicants will have a desire to create inspired outdoor living spaces for our clients, will value teamwork, and will have a positive and upbeat attitude.
specific responsibilities include:
- Direct, supervise, and work with crew members to complete residential and commercial hardscape projects including natural stone, permeable pavers, and retaining walls. 
- Ensure that team has necessary tools and materials to accomplish projects. 
- Manage time, productivity, project budgets, and material record keeping. 
- Provide consistent and timely communication with customers, team members and managers throughout the entire project. 
- Ensure adherence to plans and quality of work. 
- Recommend modifications based on field conditions, client requests, and/or supply issues. 
- Utilize hands-on training philosophies and demonstrate a strong work ethic through your example. 
- Promote safety, performance, and well-being of all crews. 
- Perform general hardscape installation and maintenance procedures. 
- Perform general landscape maintenance including planting and transplanting. 
- Operate skid steers, compact excavators, chainsaws, power tools, and other specialized equipment. 
necessary skills and qualifications:
- Must possess strong leadership skills with crew and ability to communicate effectively with management and clients in order to meet project deadlines. 
- Must be able to read, understand, and communicate landscape plan drawings and specification documents. 
- Must be able to endure repetitive bending and twisting motions. 
- Must be able to lift more than 80 pounds. 
- Must be able to properly and efficiently complete necessary job site and company paperwork. 
- Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers. 
- Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and good driving record 
desired skills and qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience managing and conducting residential and commercial hardscape projects. 
- 2 years’ experience operating equipment including skid steers, compact excavators, chain saws, etc. 
- Plant identification and care knowledge. 
wage range: $22-$25/hour
